Urban Rail Transports Singlemember S.A. welcomes at Syntagma Metro station, the heart of the means of fixed track transport, the National Theatre and a collaboration which lasts for 20 years restarts with the exhibition of costumes “Handicrafts – 53 unique costumes in the light”, which opened its gates for the public in the evening of Saturday, October 9th, 2021.
The means of fixed track transport reintroduce the culture to its passengers, conveying the cultural actions at a public area. In a simple, but very moving evening, the official opening of the exhibition took place in the “transformed” for the needs of the event Multipurpose Area at Syntagma Metro station.
Until the 18th of October, the public will have the opportunity to tour the exhibition and travel through time through theatrical costumes of the historic cloakroom of the National Theater, designed by important artists such as Antonis Fokas, Spyros Vasileiou, Giorgos Vakalo, Nikos Hatzikiriakos-Gikas, Vassilis Vassiliadis, Giorgos Anemogiannis, Liza Zaimi, Vassilis Fotopoulos. These are traces of our theatrical past, in an exhibition that honors these people for their contribution and gives visitors the rare opportunity to admire them up close.
