Continuous ticket inspections are carried out within the cars/vehicles and the station/stop premises after the validating machines. A fine shall be imposed to any person who does not hold or produce the required validated ticket, equal to 60 times the value of the uniform 90-minute ticket pursuant to Law 2669/98 (joint ministerial decision Α-44111/3784/25.07.2006/ Government Gazette 1179Β/30.08.2006).Persons entitled to reduced fare must produce the relevant documentation on inspection.
Finally, pursuant to decision no. οικ. Α27733/2213,Article 4 (Government Gazette 1181, Series B /19.6.2015):“A fine shall be imposed when, on inspection carried out by authorisedticket inspectors for track-based modes of transport (urban rail, metro and tramway), a person inside the cars/trains and the station premises after the validating machines has not paid for the lawful ticket”.
